Jonathan and Tara Higdon

Our Story & Calling

We are Jonathan and Tara Higdon, and God has placed a deep calling on our hearts to serve as missionaries in Panama. We will be partnering with a ministry team focused on evangelism, discipleship, and church planting, coming alongside local believers as they share the Gospel and build strong, Christ-centered churches.

Right now, we are in a season of preparation and trust. We are currently in language school, learning Spanish and preparing for our move to Panama in March. This time has been both stretching and sweet as the Lord refines us, equips us, and reminds us daily that this calling is His work—not ours.

Alongside our training, we are continuing to raise monthly support, which is vital for us to step fully into ministry on the field. We are incredibly thankful for every prayer, conversation, and commitment that has already come alongside us. Our Heart for the Nations

Revelation 7:9–10

“After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb… crying out with a loud voice, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!’”

This scripture captures the “why” behind our yes to missions. Our prayer is to faithfully play a small part in seeing this beautiful picture fulfilled—people from every nation, tribe, and language worshiping together before the throne of God. One day, we will see this promise completed, and what a glorious day that will be.
